We are pleased to announce the newest member of the Family Band:

Luke Calvin Hemsley

Born on May 29th at 2:09 am
9 lbs, 4 oz.
21.5" long

We went in for an induction on the 28th, but he took his sweet time deciding to come out!

The name was not easy for us to agree on. We went to the hospital with 7 name finalists (all with middle name Calvin) and narrowed it down to 3 by 2 p.m., and then when labor really started, we narrowed it down to just one: Luke Calvin.

Luke means "light", so it fits the theme with Chiara and Norah meaning light. Calvin is after John Calvin, Calvin Coolidge...and Calvin from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes (we hope our son will be that cute and imaginative!).
