James, Norah and I are front page news! Check out this link to the Quad City Times.
We talked with a reporter about Samuel and the photographer, Lisa Francescon, who took photos of us with him on the day he was born.
I think the article turned out beautifully. We (James and I) are very pleased with it. Norah laughed when she saw her picture (or maybe she recognized James and I in the photo!).

Update
Here's an update on Norah:
She is 'cruising', which means she holds on to stable objects and moves herself around the room.
She has clear preferences of which books she likes; if you pick one she doesn't like, she swats it away like it's a piece of trash. It can get old reading the same 5 books over and over and over and over....and over again.
She is eating very well; added to the repertoire: cheese, cooked veggie bits, bread, banana chunks.
Norah has kid radar. If there is a kid within 200 yards of her, she tunes in and starts shrieking. She gets SO excited to see other kids! She has tons of fun playing with Hannah and Cade, some friends of hers. They are older, though, and often steal Norah's toys. She doesn't usually mind. She is just happy to be near them!
Diaper changing is becoming an art form. One has to simultaneously keep a 9 month old entertained, remove the diaper, hold her feet, prevent her from putting her hands in her own mess, keep her from twisting and falling off the table, change the diaper, apply diaper cream, and get her clothes back on! It is NO FUN! How I miss the days when Norah liked nothing better than being on the changing table, just laying there, still and content....
This morning, I saw my first glimpse of Norah pointing with one finger. She pointed at my glasses and said, "Ba". Of course she would say "ba"--that is what she says for everything! But the pointing was really special.
Norah loves watching the birds and squirrels in our backyard. They are out in force and are quite entertaining!
We will post more pictures really soon. I have to get James to upload them for me, or he needs to teach me how to do it myself!
