It was very warm on Halloween. We all were hanging out outside, before the trick or treating began.

Dad and Maria sent the photo of me that I was thinking of--thank you Dad and Maria!
I am looking down in the picture, but I still see some similarities.
Hayride
Norah and James and I went on a hayride at Jim and Ruth Dane's farm. JIm and Ruth go to our church, and they invited all who wanted to attend to this hayride. It was a beautiful night (about 60 degrees) and Norah got to see a real John Deere tractor up close (though she was terrified and wouldn't let go of James for anything).

You know, everyone says that Norah looks like James, but sometimes I see myself in her too. My parents took a photo almost exactly like this when I was Norah's age, and there are very distinct similarities. Mom and Dad, do you remember which photo I am talking about, and do you see it too?

Action shot of leaves falling. We had about 1-2 weeks of beautiful, 60-70 degree days--note the short sleeves on Norah. Not bad for early November!

Norah loves to play in the leaves--and boy, do we have plenty of leaves. We have 3 maples, plus a neighboring oak and another 2 maples, so we were literally buried in leaves!

I guess she remembers that we, the zookeepers provide her with 3 square meals (plus snacks) every day. She came back.

Uh-oh! (as Norah would say)---the koala bear has escaped and has a mind to take a little walk down the block!

Too bad it was 70+ degrees on Halloween--Norah was a little warm in her fur suit.
