Norah loves Ethan's toddler-sized recliner. Ethan loves whatever Norah loves, so he is squished onto it too. I guess he is still toting around his man-satchel (Alessia's old purse), while Norah continues to tote June around.
I found Norah in this chair when Sunny and I visited on Monday. She knew I was there, but refused to look at me just staring at the ground. Finally, Ethan comes into the room bumping into everything. She looks up at me and says 'baby Ethan.' It wasn't too much longer that she gave me a hug and kiss. We will visit soon.
i too was around on this day, and i too was treated with the same blatant disregard as nicholas! sure, jarrod received a warm, friendly greeting from your daughter, but all aunt cecca got was an occasional glance up from her pasta. a glance filled with mistrust and skepticism, i might add. i'll accept this behavior now because she's two and easily forgivable, but come three, i'll be expecting shouts of triumphant joy upon my comings and goings.
Oh, Cecca, I am sorry to hear that she wasn't overly warm. If it makes you feel any better, you are one of the most easily recognized relatives in her photo book (though she always points Jarrod our in the same breath!).
